Student Committee

Since the foundation of UCD Volunteers Overseas in 2003, there has always been an extremely high level of student involvement in the day-to-day running of the charity. This involvement led to a properly structured student committee emerging in 2008. In the same year, UCDVO also became an official UCD society. Since 2008, this committee has grown enormously. The committee is primarily concerned with holding fundraising events and promoting the work of UCDVO on campus. Events such as Rás UCD, the UCDVO Ball and UCDVO Day are all organised by the committee. The committee and the students of UCD are vital parts of the charity and are central to the success of UCDVO since 2003.

The UCDVO Student Committee can be located in the Volunteer Office on the ground floor of the Library Building, just behind the AIB ATM machine. Sinead is in her final year studying Bio-Medical Engineering. She took part in the 2010 Haiti project and was student leader for the Haiti 2011 project.
