Courses
In addition to our year-long programme, there are many ways to engage with UCDVO and the area of global citizenship education. We offer two evening courses and one residential, learning journey. These opportunities are open to those participating in our programme and also to the wider UCD Community - students, staff and alumni and those external to UCD. All of our courses are brought to you in partnership with Comhlámh.
Please note, all courses will be held online or in person, depending on public health guidelines at the time and in keeping with UCD Covid-19 protocols.

Be the Change
'Be the Change' is a six-week evening course beginning in October each year. This course is open to anyone looking to broaden and deepen their engagement with global justice issues and action for social change.
Skills in Development Education
This participatory course comprises of seven evening modules and a one-day practical workshop that aim to equip participants with the skills and methodologies to work effectively with groups on global development and social justice issues in a friendly, informal environment.

Solidarity in Action
‘Solidarity in Action’ offers a further opportunity around critical global citizenship education for people who want to deepen their understanding. This course (or learning journey) aims to cultivate sustainable activism in participants. It is less focused on solutions and leans into a deeper examination of the self and where that ‘self’ is situated within the global structures that support inequality.
