UCDVO partners with the same organisations each year and we have built up strong relationships in each of the communities where our volunteers work, most recently in India, Tanzania and Uganda. We have also worked with partners in Haiti and Nicaragua.
As part of the volunteer programme, we organise short-term volunteering placements with our overseas partners. The placements are usually for one month and involve a variety of activities around health, education and community development.

India
UCDVO has worked with partners in India since the charity was founded in 2003, on a range of community development, education and health programmes. We currently have three partners across the country - in New Delhi, as well as Assam and Meghalaya in the north.
Tanzania
UCDVO has worked in Tanzania since 2009 to support the quality of education for communities in Morogoro District with two Tanzanian organisations, TanzEd and Camara Education Tanzania. In 2019, UCDVO agreed to a pilot programme with the Holy Union Sisters in Dar es Salaam, in the Matumaini Centre, a community health centre for children with disabilities and their families.

Uganda
UCDVO works in partnership with two organisations in Uganda on multi-disciplinary health and livelihoods programmes.
